GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Albright men's basketball team (9-12, 2-8 MAC Commonwealth) was on the road at Messiah (5-16, 1-9 MAC Commonwealth) on Saturday (Feb. 3) afternoon. The Messiah Falcons won today's game over the Lions 64-54.

Eric Chamberlain led the Lions in scoring on the afternoon going for 18 points. Chamberlain finished in double figures for the fourth straight game. The guard added seven rebounds, one block and one assist to his stat line.

Chris Koumei and Joey Callahan both finished with eight points in the game. Kouemi recorded 10 rebounds (five offensive) while Callahan made two threes while adding an assist and a rebound.

Messiah never trailed in today's game leading throughout the entire 40 minutes. The halftime score was in favor of Messiah leading 36-29.

Messiah's lead grew to 16 points in the early goings of the second half on a made layup from Messiah's Bryce Coletti. Coletti scored a game high 27 points shooting 10-15 from the floor.

Albright was able to cut their deficit down to seven at 59-52 with a minute left. However, Messiah was up to the task hitting their free throws and closing out the Lions.
Phanique Dupree recorded a career high in rebounds tallying 10 totals in today's game. The Albright forward played 33 minutes this afternoon adding four points, two assists, three blocks and a steal in an all-around strong performance.

Isaac LaPiere scored seven points playing in 28 minutes of game action. The senior guard tallied seven rebounds (four offensive) and an assist in today's game.
