LANCASTER Pa. – The Albright College baseball team (3-8) played in their fourth straight road game this afternoon against Lancaster Bible College (10-4). The Chargers found themselves on top in the end scoring four runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to steal a win from the Lions 17-16 on their home field.
Despite today's loss, Albright found power in their bats this afternoon as four Lions deposited a ball over the fence in the game.

Chris Gorla,
Nick Barton and
Eddie Meredith all launched a home run for the Lions. For Stuhltrager and Gorla the home runs marked the first of their Lion careers while Barton and Meredith tallied their second career home runs.
Gorla finished with a career high four RBIs on three hits. The first-year player has swung a hot bat to start his Lion career and today was no different. Gorla added a double to his stat line finishing the day with two extra base hits, four RBI and two runs scored.
Meredith was the second Lion of the day to collect three hits in the game. In addition to the home run, Meredith added two singles, a stolen base and three runs scored.
Lucas Myford rounded out the three hit days for the Lions going 3-6 at the plate with an RBI and a run scored. All of Myford's hits were singles but each one was effective in creating havoc on the base paths. Myford's three hits marks a new career high and his first game with multiple hits in a game.
Lancaster Bible College jumped out to a 7-0 lead but the Lions stormed back to tie the game back up at 9-9 after six innings of play. Albright scored five runs in the fifth inning courtesy of three Lion home runs in the inning.
The game was back and forth throughout as each team scored at least one run in every inning from the fifth inning until the final inning. Lancaster Bible was down three runs heading into the bottom of the ninth inning but would go on to score four runs to walk off on Albright winning 17-16.
Roman Berretta, Barton and Stuhltrager each finished the day with two hits for the Lions. Barton ended his day with three runs scored, two RBIs and two stolen bases. Berretta and Stuhltrager both finished with two runs scored while Stuhltrager added two RBIs.
John O'Connor and
Jack Gilmer both added one hit on the day while Gilmer added an RBI.
The Lions finished the day with 17 hits, four walks and five stolen bases

Albright will return home for their next game on Thursday, March 21 against non-conference opponent Franklin & Marshall College. The game is set for a 3:30 p.m. start time.
