READING, Pa. – Men's tennis continued the fall portion of their schedule today hosting Muhlenberg in non-conference match. Muhlenberg (1-0) topped Albright (1-1) by a final score of 6-1.
Albright opened up their fall schedule with a 7-0 win over visiting McDaniel on Sunday (Sept. 8).
There is a new scoring format for NCAA DIII non-conference matches. Previously, matches were played to a team score of nine but are now played to seven. The scoring breakdown is as follows, the team that wins two of the three doubles matches receives one point. Each singles match is worth one point. Four or more points are required to win the dual match.
Xavier Vinson picked up his second straight win to begin his collegiate career wining in comeback fashion today in three sets. Vinson dropped the first set but roared all the way back winning set two 6-3 then dominated in set three 10-3 to win the match.
Timo Weber appeared in his first match for the Lions this afternoon in number three doubles. Weber played alongside
Clay Lewandowski and fared well throughout the match but ultimately fell to the Mules counterpart, 6-3.
