READING, Pa – Women's Soccer (1-1-1, 0-0 MAC Commonwealth) squared off with the Neuman Knight's (4-1, 0-0 Atlantic East). Following a 90-minute skirmish the Knights left with a 2-0 win.
The first half saw both teams go scoreless with numerous blocked shots, clutch saves and other failed opportunities.
Junior midfielder/forward
Alyssa DeVita led the charge for the Lions offense with a pair of shots on goal.
Daiveni Fisher and
Audrey Solt, the reigning MAC Commonwealth offensive player of the week, combines for four additional shots in the effort.
The knights would finally breakthrough in the second half by scoring goals in the 63
rd and 81
st minutes.
Alexis Solt played all 90 minutes in net and recorded three saves in the process to go along with multiple clutch plays to stop the knights from getting additional shots off.
