The Lions got back to .500 on the road this year with a dominating 60 minutes of field hockey against Lycoming. Albright has recorded a shutout win in two of their last three games.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.  – Albright field hockey (3-5) was in complete control of today's match from the first whistle to the last topping Lycoming (4-4) on the road 4-0. The Lions win is their third shutout win of the season.

Today's victory is the 20th for head coach Catherine Wiese (Ostoich) since taking the Albright job prior to the start of the 2022 season.

"Today was another great win, especially to see us build off of some key technical skills that we have been working on at practice." Said head Albright field hockey coach. "Multiple people stepped up today, but it was especially nice to see Kendall Smith make some tiny changes to her game which then created big opportunities for the team to capitalize on."

Albright has played Lycoming in each of the past three seasons including today's game. In the three games the Lions have outscored the Warriors 14-1 in that span.

Olivia Lorah, Chelsea Johnson and Keliah Santiago all scored for Albright in today's game. Lorah's goal opened the scoring on a penalty stroke while Johnson followed Lorah scoring in the second period off a penalty corner.

Santiago capped off the impressive win with two goals in the fourth period. The juniors two goals mark the first multi goal game of Santiago's career. Santiago finished with five points in the game adding an assist to her two-goal effort.

Kendall Smith and Aliza Langlois both registered assists this afternoon. Smith assisted on Santiago's first goal and Langlois assisted Santiago's second goal. Both Lions assists mark the first of the careers for Smith and Langlois. Langlois has recorded a goal or an assist in four straight games.

Kelsey McTaggart was strong in goal all day and especially in the second half. The first-year goalkeeper made six saves, all in the second half to pick up her third shutout of the year. The six saves are the most in any shutout this season.

Albright controlled the pace of play throughout recording 16 shots to Lycoming's six. Of the 16 shots, all but two were on frame forcing the Warrior goalkeeper to make save after save. The Lions also dominated in penalty corners having eight on the day.
