READING Pa. – The Albright Women's Soccer team (1-0-1) played their first home game of the year at Shirk Stadium against Penn St. Berks (0-3-1). Following 90 minutes of back-and-forth action, Albright would ultimately draw with the visiting Nittany Lions.
This is the second time women's soccer has tied with Penn St. Berks with the first instance happening in the 2021 season.
First-Year
Alivia Neider recorded her first career goal in the tail end of the 39
th minute to tie the game at 1-1 with
Audrey Solt picking up the assist.
Mackenzie Sowers recorded her first goal of the season via a penalty shot in the 82
nd minute to give the Lions a 2-1 lead.
Penn St. Berks would go on to tie the game in the 84
th minute with the game's final goal of the night.
McKenna LeVan turned in another high quality night in goal recording 12 saves on 14 shots. Through a pair of games, the senior has recorded a save percentage of .850.
