Women’s Soccer Drops Home Game to Stevenson

The Lions hosted their first conference game of the year against the Stevenson Mustangs

READING, Pa. – Women's Soccer (0-11-2, 6-2-5 MAC Commonwealth) hosted the Stevenson Mustangs (6-5, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth). Through a back and forth 90 minutes of physical play, the Mustangs would ultimately secure a 2-0 win over the Lions.

The Mustangs would find the back of the net twice in the opening half before being shut down by the Lon defense the rest of the way. Paisley Tornatore made eight saves in addition to a number of other clutch grabs and breakups to keep the Stevenson offense contained.

Brylie Jensen would lead the way for the Lions' offense which started to find its stride in the second half and registered three shots in 72 minutes including a pair on goal.

Tying Jensen for a team high three shots was Samantha Rosenberg who helped create a number of scoring chances while playing the full 90 minutes.

Daiveni Fisher was the third Lion to record multiple shots in an offensive effort that saw the Lions put up 12 total from seven different players.

The Lions' defense was able to keep a high-powered Stevenson offense in check and stayed within striking distance until the final whistle.
