ST. DAVID'S, Pa. – Field hockey (3-11, 0-4 MAC Commonwealth) played their second straight Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth road game on Wednesday afternoon against Eastern (8-7, 1-3 MAC Commonwealth). Eastern scored three first half goals to power them to a 3-0 victory.
Eastern scored once in the opening period and twice in the second period to open a 3-0 lead at halftime.
Albright had goal scoring opportunities in the first half.
Bobbie Van Oordt broke through the defense and just sailed a shot wide of the goal. Van Oordt had three first half shots, placing two of them on goal.
On one of the Lions four first half corners, Albright appeared to have a goal however the whistle blew due to a foul on Eastern negating a goal leaving Albright with another corner. The ensuing corner was turned away from the Eastern defense.
14 total shots were registered in the first half with each team having seven. Five total Lions tallied a shot in the first half.
The halftime scoreline would hold until the games final whistle.
Hannah Mitchell fired three total shots, placing all of them on goal.
Jessica Butz,
Rebecca Geiger and Van Oordt each had shots on goal for the Lions.
Anna Schuemann played the entire fourth period in goal for Albright recording one save.

Albright will return home for homecoming weekend to square off against Widener. The game will also serve as the team's senior day and will begin at 5:00 p.m. with senior day festivities taking place prior to the start of the game.
