YORK, Pa. – Men's soccer (5-2-3, 0-1 MAC Commonwealth) saw their five-game result streak end on Saturday afternoon at hands of York College (5-3-4, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth). The Spartans won the game 1-0.
Coming into the game the Lions were on a five-game result streak last losing nearly a month ago on September 10.
The first 45-minutes of the contest featured no scoring by either side. Early in the second half, York fired a shot in the 18-yard box that hit an Albright player in the hand. The referee awarded a penalty kick which York Converted to go on top 1-0.
The lone goal of the game came on the penalty kick that ultimately allowed York to escape with a 1-0 win at home.
Martin Ramsay tallied a team high three shots placing one of which on goal.
Myles Mitchell,
Jose Serrano and
Brady Devito all recorded one shot each.
Mike Lawry made 11 saves marking a new season high. Lawry finished two saves shy of tying his career best of 13. The 11 total saves ties the most in a game this season of any goalie in the MAC Commonwealth.
