Men’s Soccer Falls on the road at York

Albright began conference play on Saturday afternoon against the York Spartans. The game marked the first conference match of the season for both teams.

YORK, Pa. – Men's soccer (5-2-3, 0-1 MAC Commonwealth) saw their five-game result streak end on Saturday afternoon at hands of York College (5-3-4, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth). The Spartans won the game 1-0.

Coming into the game the Lions were on a five-game result streak last losing nearly a month ago on September 10.

The first 45-minutes of the contest featured no scoring by either side. Early in the second half, York fired a shot in the 18-yard box that hit an Albright player in the hand. The referee awarded a penalty kick which York Converted to go on top 1-0.

The lone goal of the game came on the penalty kick that ultimately allowed York to escape with a 1-0 win at home.

Martin Ramsay tallied a team high three shots placing one of which on goal. Myles Mitchell, Jose Serrano and Brady Devito all recorded one shot each.

Mike Lawry made 11 saves marking a new season high. Lawry finished two saves shy of tying his career best of 13. The 11 total saves ties the most in a game this season of any goalie in the MAC Commonwealth.
