READING, Pa. – Men's Tennis (4-1) concluded their fall season with a 5-2 win over Susquehanna (3-1) on the Lions home courts. Albright took two of three doubles matches and four of the six singles matches to secure the victory.
On Tuesday of this week,
Matias Contreras was named MAC Commonwealth men's tennis Player of the Week for two wins from the previous week over Arcadia and Gettysburg.
Enrico Pucci was the last match to finish on the day as the sophomore took care of business in #2 singles. Pucci won the first set 7-5 and turned around to win the match in straight sets with a 6-4 score in set number two. Pucci concludes his fall season at 4-1 overall.
Adam Good put on a dominant performance in #3 singles winning handily over his opponent. Good swept the first set 6-0 and would go on to win the match with a second set scoreline of 6-1.
Dylan Huha won by the same scoreline as Good in #4 singles. Huha never looked back after a 6-0 first set win and carried the momentum into the second set winning 6-1.
Esteban Vallejo was strong in #6 singles. Vallejo scratched out a first set win 6-4 and turned up the pressure in the second set winning 6-0 in what proved to be a dominant performance.
Albright took the doubles team point by winning the #1 and #2 matches.
Karim Fattal and Pucci got the job done in number one doubles winning 6-2. The #2 doubles pairing of
Leonardo Russo Gispert and Contreras took care of business on their end winning 6-4.
