READING, Pa. – Men's tennis (5-1) opened their 2026 season in style with a 7-0 win over Penn State Abington (3-3) on Saturday afternoon. The victory marks the fourth in a row for Albright dating back to the 2025 fall season.
All six singles matches went to the Lions finishing all in straight sets.
Marcelo Menchaca and
Leonardo Russo Gispert both earned 6-0 victories in number five and six singles, respectively.
Renato Orsi made his Albright debut playing in number one singles. Orsi made quick work of his opponent winning 6-1, 6-1.
Karim Fattal won 6-2, 6-0 in number two singles for the Lions.
Matias Contreras won by the same scoreline as Fattal winning 6-2, 6-0.
Enrico Pucci won 6-1, 6-2 as the team's number four singles player.
Orsi and Contreras paired up in number one doubles and earned a hard fought 6-4 victory.
Fattal and Pucci won 6-0 in number two doubles while Menchaca and
Esteban Vallejo won 6-1 in number three doubles.
