READING, Pa. – The Albright Women's Lacrosse team (1-1) played the second of three straight at home to begin the season against Elizabethtown (1-0). The Lions jumped out to a fast start and never lost the lead in what turned out to be a 19-13 win. This victory marked the first for coach

In addition to having a hat trick,
Sarah Chernis led the way for the Lions with a team high nine total points which included six assists, both career highs for the senior.
The Lions offense scored eight of the game's first 10 goals which included
Kayte Moist scoring the first two. Moist finished that day with six goals and an assist for seven total points.
Six different Lions would go on to find the back of the net in the first two quarters which allowed the team to enter halftime with a 9-3 lead over the Blue Jays.
Throughout the game the Lions dominated draw controls and recorded 21 with
Zoe Dicks picking up a team high of 10 in addition to recording three goals and an assist.
Lucy Moreland also recorded a hat trick and was one of four Lions to end the night with at least three goals.
Caelainn Morrison started in goal and recorded 17 saves which included her and the defense shutting out the Blue Jays for the first 17 minutes of play. Morrison also disrupted the Blue Jays offense by causing five turnovers.
