READING, Pa. – The Albright Women's Basketball team (13-12, 7-7 MAC Commonwealth) traveled to face the top seeded Messiah Falcons (24-2, 14-0 MAC Commonwealth). Following four quarters of play, the Lions fell into the Falcons by a score of 78-52.
Julia Zakovitch and
Chrisdin Jones tied for the team lead in points with 10 apiece which included a combined 8-8 at the charity stripe. Jones also tied for the team lead in rebounds with five.
Julia Parmelee stepped up off the bench and recorded eight points and a pair of rebounds in 21 minutes of play and will be one of the key returners for next year for her junior season.
As a team the Lions connected on 11 of 15 free throws which included
Orianna Edmond and
CJ Apistar combining to go 3-3 from the line.
Mackenzie Dover ended her college career by playing a game high 38 minutes in addition to recording five rebounds and picking up a team high three assists. Dover also ends her collegiate career as part of Albright's 1,000 points club.
