ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Women's tennis (7-0) won their 16
th straight regular season match this afternoon against Elizabethtown (1-6) 7-0 on the Blue Jays home courts.
The Lions have won their last 16 regular season matches dating back to the 2024 spring season. Today marked the second match of the spring season as Albright continues to prepare to defend their 2024 MAC Commonwealth title.
Albright was dominant in today's match having five of the nine total matches end in straight sets without Elizabethtown winning a single set.
In doubles play,
Alex Pancu and
Allison Horick won #1 doubles 6-0 6-0,
Michelle Timothy and
Alaina Smith won 6-0 6-0 in #2 doubles and
Elicia Aponte and
Kaelyn Davis won #3 doubles 6-0 6-0.
Pancu and Aponte continued their strong play from the doubles matches into the singles matches both winning 6-0 6-0. Pancu won in #1 singles and Aponte won in #4 singles.
Timothy took the #2 singles match in straight sets winning 6-0 6-4. Horick was featured in #3 singles and won 6-0 6-1.
Smith won 6-0 6-1 in #5 singles while
Saba Soroush earned the start in #6 singles winning 6-4 6-1.
