FREDERICK, Md. – Men's tennis (1-4 spring, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth) opened MAC Commonwealth play on Saturday afternoon with a 7-0 win over Hood (0-2 spring, 0-2 MAC Commonwealth).
Albright qualified for the 2024 MAC Commonwealth playoffs and is off to a good start to make it back-to-back appearances. In total, the team will play six conference matches including today.
The Lions only played three total matches today.
Gavin Buckley and
Kobe Serpa got the job done in #1 doubles winning easily 6-0.
Clay Lewandowski got the call in #1 singles and performed exceptionally well winning 6-0, 6-0.
Timo Weber picked up his first win as an Albright Lion competing in #2 singles. Weber's match went the distance, but he was not going to be denied his first collegiate win. Weber dropped the first set 6-7 and rebounded nicely winning the next two sets 7-6 and 10-2.
