READING, Pa, – Albright Baseball (19-20) concluded their season at shirk stadium against Penn State York (20-18). Following nine innings of play, the Lions would fall in their final game of the season by a score of 9-2.
John O'Connor pitched 3.1 innings out of the bullpen and recorded four strikeouts in the process. The graduate student finished his collegiate career with 105 strikeouts and 123.2 innings pitched which included pitching 30+ innings for the second time in as many seasons.
Despite the score, the Lions consistently threatened throughout the game with seven hits and nine walks in a solid team performance at the plate.
Deklyn Marks finished the game with a pair of hits which included a two-run blast in the seventh inning to put the Lions on the board.
Tying Marks with a team high two hits was
Jack Gilmer who went on to reach base four times in his final game.
Coach
Justin Perry continues to make strides and has improved the program's record every year since he began in 2023. Under Perry's leadership, the team won 19 games for the first time since 2003.
