Aston, Pa. – Field Hockey (0-4) took to the road for a matchup with the Knights of Neumann (2-2). After four quarters of play, the Lions would lose a heart breaker in overtime by a score of 3-2.
After a scoreless first quarter,
Bobbie Van Oordt found the back of the net in the final minutes before halftime for her second collegiate goal.
Also contributing to the Lions' attack effort were
McKena Cox and
Rayven Muller, who each registered shots in the contest.
After Neuman went on to tie the game in the third quarter,
Lillian Tuffy scored midway through the fourth quarter to give the Lions a 2-1 lead. Assisting on Tuffy's goal was Van Oordt which went on to be her first career assist.
After the Knights tied it up in the final minutes, they would wind up scoring the game winner early in overtime to steal a 3-2 win from the Lions.
