READING, Pa. – Women's soccer (0-3-2) ended their three-game road trip on Saturday night at Penn State Berks (2-4). The Nittany Lions won 2-0 over the visiting Lions.
The game was a defensive battle for much of the contest until Penn State Berks opened the scoring in the 78
th minute to break the scoreless tie on a penalty kick.
Two minutes later the Nittany Lions would add an insurance goal to carry them to victory.
Albright earned a corner in the 86
th minute.
Isabella Pugliese was able to get a shot off on the set piece but saw the attempt go wide right of the goal.
Kassidy Phillips led the offense with three shots helping the Lions to 12 shots total in the game.
Brylie Jensen and
Haley Denuto both fired a pair of shots both placing one of the shots on frame. Penn State Berks goalie made four saves to keep Albright off the board.
