COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Women's tennis was dominant in the Ursinus Invitational on Saturday afternoon going a perfect 10-0 across singles and doubles competition. Alvernia and Ursinus competed alongside Albright.
RESULTS
Nadia Margaritova and
Michelle Timothy both went 2-0 in singles play with all four matches played against Ursinus.
Margaritova did not drop a single set all afternoon during singles winning 8-0 in both matches. Timothy picked up an 8-4 and 8-3 win.
Daniela Diez won a close match 8-6 while
Elicia Aponte rounded out the strong Lions singles performances winning 8-4.
Kaelyn Davis won her lone singles match of the day with an 8-5 win over Alvernia.
Allison Horick and Timothy were paired in doubles play beating their Ursinus opponent 8-3.
Margaritova and Diez were no match for their competition in doubles winning 8-2.
Alaina Smith and Aponte won their doubles match sweeping their Alvernia counterpart 8-0.
