READING, Pa. – Field Hockey (1-6) returned home to face William Patterson (0-6) as the Lions inch closer and closer to the start of conference play. Following 60 minutes of play, the visiting Pioneers would leave with a 2-0 victory over the Lions.
As a team, the Lions combined for eight shots which included
Rebecca Geiger putting a team high three on goal.
Also recording multiple shots throughout the game
McKena Cox who recorded two of her own while creating a number of additional scoring chances.
Keliah Santiago made a number of well-placed passes to set up scoring chances for her teammates.
The Lions' defense put together a strong overall outing and held the Pioneers to just four shots on goal with
Jessica Butz breaking up a number of offensive opportunities.
Despite the strong effort from the Lions, the offense was unable to break through the Pioneers' defense resulting in a close home loss.
