READING, Pa. – Men's Soccer (4-1-3) capped off a triple header of home events for Albright against the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg (3-4-3). Following a physical back and forth 90 minutes, the Lions would come through in the second half and hold on to a 1-1 tie with the Bobcats.
The first half consisted of little offensive action for each team, as neither side was able to find the back of the net despite a number of quality chances.
Myles Mitchell and
Martin Ramsay tied for the team lead with three shots each and kept up consistent pressure throughout the match.
Following a scoreless first half, the Bobcats would strike first in the 52
nd minute to jump out to a 1-0 lead over the Lions.
After a number of additional near misses from the Lions,
Brady Devito would come through in the 84
th minute of play with an unassisted score for his second goal of the season.
What followed after Devito's goal was clutch defensive breakups from the Lions including
Will Garnett and
Thayne Kahl. Kahl was one of three Lions to play a full 90 minutes.
The Lions' draw with the Bobcat's now marks their fifth game in a row without a loss.
