READING, Pa. – Women's Soccer 0-7-2 played the second of a two game homestand and hosted Gwynedd Mercy 5-4-1. Both teams combined for 26 shots in a physical matchup that resulted in a 4-2 win for Gwynedd Mercy.
After Gwynedd Mercy scored in just the third minute of play,
Daleyney Herrera-Mingucha responded with her first goal of the season to tie the game up at 1-1 in the 10
th minute.
Also contributing to the offensive effort was
Kassidy Phillips who was one of three Lions to record multiple shots on goal throughout the game.
After falling behind again,
Abigail Landis would jumpstart momentum for the Lions with a free kick goal in the 68
thminute of play to get the Lions back in the game.
Paisley Tornatore made four saves in 66 minutes off the bench and helped keep the Lions in the game until the final whistle.
