ST. DAVID'S, Pa. – Volleyball (4-8, 1-1 MAC Commonwealth) played in their second straight road match to begin Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth play on Tuesday evening against Eastern University (11-4, 1-1 MAC Commonwealth). The Eagles won tonight's match 3-0 over the Lions.
This past Wednesday (Sept. 24) Albright opened conference play with a 3-0 sweep against Alvernia. The Lions beat Alvernia in consecutive seasons for the first time since the 2013-2014 seasons.
Rachel Etim led the offense with seven kills while also contributing one ace and five digs.
Samantha Lipp added 12 digs to go along with three kills and an ace.
Valouria James has come on strong as of late adding 12 more assists tonight marking her fifth straight match with double digit assists.
Sydney Mayfield and
Korrine Tillery were strong defensively each having two block assists.

Albright will jump back into non-conference action with a matchup against Gwynedd Mercy at home. The match is scheduled for Thursday, October 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the Bollman Center.
