Men's soccer falls to York in home finale

READING, Pa. - The Albright College men's soccer team made a late push, but could not fight all the way back in a 3-1 setback to York College in the Lions home finale on Tuesday evening.

The teams played through a scoreless first half, with the Spartans outshooting Albright by a 6-1 margin and holding a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The early going of the second half saw a couple of scoring chances from both squads, but neither was able to break through for a goal. The Spartans recorded the first tally of the contest with a rebound being sent to the back of the net at the 60:22 mark. The visitors added another goal in the 65th minute and capped off their scoring in the 71st minute.

In the 86th minute, the Lions got on the scoreboard when Gael Velazquez sent a ball into the box and Thayne Kahl buried inside the near post.
