COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Men's tennis (5-4) was locked in the a close battle throughout the day on Friday afternoon against a formidable opponent in Ursinus (4-2). The Bears were able to earn the victory in the end 4-3.
The Lions took three of the four top four singles courts winning Courts #1, #3 and #4.
Renato Orsi won in straight sets at #1 singles picking up his second win in a Lions uniform, Orsi controlled the match to win 6-4, 6-3.
Enrico Pucci dropped the first set and battled back from there to take the match. After dropping the first set Pucci to win the next two sets 6-4, 6-5. The win marked the fifth of the fall and spring seasons for Pucci.
Marcelo Menchaca won in straight sets 6-1, 6-2. Menchaca has had a successful first-year campaign having five wins in six matches total this season. Playing in #4 singles Menchaca is undefeated this season at 4-0.
