READING, Pa. – Men's tennis (7-4) picked up their second straight shutout win beating Marymount (5-7) 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon. The Lions saw their two match homestand end in them earning back-to-back shutouts.
Albright improves to 6-1 this season at home and has only dropped two courts total outscoring their opponents 39-2.
All six singles matches went to the Lions in straight sets.
Renato Orsi was locked in a long match going to three sets in #1 singles. Each player split the first two sets 6-4. Orsi outlasted his opponent by winning the highly competitive match 12-10 in a third set tiebreak.
Matias Contreras (#2 singles) was able to break his opponents serve in both sets winning 6-4 6-4.
Marcelo Menchaca (#3 singles) took the first set 6-2 and never looked back taking the second set 6-0.
Enrico Pucci (#4 singles) matched Menchaca winning by the same scoreline of 6-2, 6-0.
Leonardo Russo Gispert (#5 singles) won 6-1 in the first set and then was able to close out the match 6-3 in the second set.
Esteban Vallejo made it six for six in singles matches for the Lions earning a 6-2, 6-3 victory.
The Lions took all three doubles matches by at least two games. Orsi and Pucci won 6-2 in #1 doubles while Russo Gispert and Contreras matched with a 6-2 in #3 doubles.
Menchaca and Vallejo gave the Lions the win on all nine courts taking #2 doubles 6-4.
