READING, Pa. – Men's tennis (10-4, 3-0 MAC Commonwealth) continues to roll conference opponents and today was no different as the Lions beat York College (1-10, 0-3 MAC Commonwealth) 7-0 on their home courts.
The Lions started 3-0 in conference play and are on the cusp of returning to the postseason. Albright is currently tied for first with Messiah for first in the Commonwealth. Of the five total teams in the Commonwealth, four of them will qualify for the postseason.
Renato Orsi rolled in number one singles winning 6-0, 6-2.
Karim Fattal cruised through his #2 singles match winning 6-0, 6-0.
Marcelo Menchaca won 6-1, 6-2 at #3 singles while
Enrico Pucci won 6-1, 6-1 in #4 singles.
Dylan Huha took the #5 singles match 6-1, 6-2 and was followed by
Esteban Vallejo who won 6-0, 6-0 in #6 singles. All six singles matches were won in straight sets by the Lions.
It was more of the same for Albright in doubles play outscoring York 18-4.
Orsi and Pucci teamed up in #1 doubles winning 6-1. Menchaca and Vallejo won 6-3 in #2 doubles and was followed by Huha and Fattal winning 6-0 in #3 doubles.
The Lions have two conference matches remaining hosting Eastern on April 18 and traveling to Messiah on April 21.
