CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Women's tennis opened their season at the Washington College (Md.) Tournament by going 8-8 on the day. They saw action from Washington College (Md.) (WC), Drew University (D), St. Mary's College (StM) and Division II Millersville University (M).

Addison Allen got her collegiate career started on a high note with two short-set singles wins and a doubles win. In her singles matches against Daylin Evans and Anna Kupyna from Drew, she won both in simple 4-1, 4-1 fashion. In her doubles match with Daniela Diez, they were able to best Drew, 6-1.

Elicia Aponte also saw two wins in singles play. In her match against Danielle Pettoni from Drew, she held strong at 6-3 and 6-2. Aponte found herself against Division II foe Luci Consigliere from Millersville and was unfazed, ending it with two 6-4 sets.
