New to the Albright staff this year is 2014 Shenandoah University graduate Byron Mitchell.
 
Mitchell, a Virginia Beach, Va. native, will be coaching the cornerbacks.
 
A four-year starter at Shenandoah, Mitchell graduated as the all-time leading tackler in program history.
 
Mitchell, an identical twin and a part of a set of triplets, finished with 276 tackles, with 151 of those unassisted and 19 for loss.
 
A team captain his senior year, Mitchell earned All-ODAC honors three times in his career, including first team accolades in 2011 and 2013.
 
In his senior year, in which he led SU to wins over the 2012 and 2013 ODAC champions as well as over its two longest standing rivals, Mitchell was named ODAC Player of the Week on two occasions and a Beyond Sports Network Athlete of the Week and USA College Football Defensive Player of the Week one time each.
 
Mitchell completed his career by being selected to the D3 Senior Classic All-Star game and was a Roanoke Times first team All-State pick. He was Shenandoah's 2013-14 Male Athlete of the Year.
 
He also leads the program in kick returns and blocked kicks and is third all-time in interceptions.
