Drew Stelzer is currently in his third year at Albright College as a member of the football coaching staff. Stelzer will work with the wide receivers, while also serving as the recruiting coordinator and the head coach of the junior varsity program.

Over his first two seasons as wide receiver coach Stelzer worked with Scott Pillar, one of the most decorated players in program history. A two-time All-American, including a spot on the prestigious AFCA Coaches All-America squad in 2012, Pillar signed a rookie free agent contract with the St. Louis Rams the following spring.

Stelzer came to Albright after serving as the tight end and halfbacks coach at Randolph Macon College in Ashland, Virginia for two years. During his time with the Yellowjackets, Stelzer was responsible for preparing and implementing a pro style offense that required multiple shifts and motions for both positions. He also assisted with the game planning of an offense that averaged nearly 450 yards per game (20th in D-III) and 42 points per game (9th in D-III).

While at Randolph Macon, Stelzer also served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach, working with all 16 varsity programs year-round.

Stelzer began his coaching career at his alma mater, Allegheny College, in 2008. After playing two seasons (2006-2007) for the Gators at quarterback, Stelzer joined the coaching staff as a student-assistant. In his one season as a member of the coaching staff, Stelzer worked with the quarterbacks and wide receivers. Prior to his arrival at Allegheny, Stelzer also played quarterback for two seasons (2004-2005) at Ohio Wesleyan University.

Stelzer earned his bachelor’s of arts degree in Managerial Economics from Allegheny in 2009 and currently resides in Reading.
