Jon Day enters his second season on the Albright coaching staff in 2017. Day will serve as the Lions tight ends coach as well as assist with the offensive line.

Day was part of a coaching staff that helped lead Albright to a MAC-Centennial Bowl Championship title in 2016 as the Lions posted an 8-3 overall record.

Day joined the Albright staff after spending the 2015 season coaching tight ends at his alma mater Wesleyan University.

Day was a four-year starter at tight end for Wesleyan and helped lead the Cardinals to a 22-10 record. In his career, Day caught 42 passes for 525 yards and scored six touchdowns.

He was named the Wesleyan Rookie of the Year in 2011 after catching 16 passes for 214 yards and a touchdown.

In 2013 and 2014, Day helped lead the Cardinals to back-to-back 7-1 seasons.

He earned Second Team All-New England Small College Athletic Conference honors and helped Wesleyan capture the Little Three title for the first time in over 40 years in 2013.

As a senior, Day led the Cardinals to another 7-1 season and was named First Team All-NESCAC and also served as a captain for Wesleyan.
