Jon Linn is in his second season as an assistant at his alma mater. He will coach the defensive ends.
Albright went 8-3 in 2013, winning the ECAC Southwest Bowl. The Lions had two All-MAC defensive ends (Matt Pattison, Don Gould), while captain DE Mark Capetola suffered a season-ending injury but was still named to the Academic All-Conference team.
A 2010 graduate of Albright College, Linn was a senior starter on the 2009 squad that reached the NCAA quarterfinals and earned a top-10 national ranking. He totaled 39 tackles, 4.0 sacks, 12.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and an interception.
In his junior season, Linn helped the Lions to a share of the 2008 Middle Atlantic Conference title. He had 31.5 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, 8.0 tackles for loss and one forced fumble.
For the last three years, Linn has been an assistant coach at his former high school, Central Dauphin. The team won a state championship in 2011, along with two Mid-Penn Commonwealth Conference titles.
Linn coached a variety of positional groupings over his three seasons at Central Dauphin, including defensive linemen, defensive backs and wide receivers. He has coached at numerous clinics including the Albright team camp, Oley Valley Youth Camp, and Central Dauphin Youth Camp.
Linn graduated from Albright with a degree in history and education.
