Mark Fetterman

The 2025 season was Mark Fetterman’s second year overseeing the Lions’ defensive operations. Under his leadership, Albright allowed the second-fewest yards per game in the MAC.

Fetterman joined Albright’s coaching staff ahead of the 2024 season after serving as the defensive line coach at his alma mater, West Chester University.

Prior to returning to West Chester, Fetterman spent five seasons (2019-23) at Lehigh University as the defensive run game coordinator and linebackers coach. During his tenure, he coached three All-League linebackers, including a standout who led the Patriot League in both tackles for loss and sacks in 2022.

Fetterman previously served as an assistant football coach and strength and conditioning coach at Lehigh from 2000-05. During that time, he coached two All-Americans and 11 All-League defensive linemen while helping the program make three NCAA playoff appearances and compile a 49-11 record.

From 2014-19, Fetterman served as the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Franklin & Marshall College, where he also worked as a strength and conditioning coach. Under his guidance, the Diplomats led their conference in sacks in consecutive seasons (2017-18) and ranked among the nation's top 20 teams in the category both years.

Fetterman also spent four seasons (2010-14) at Widener University, serving as the associate head coach and defensive coordinator. In 2012, his defensive line unit ranked third nationally with 32.5 sacks, contributing to the team's overall total of 44.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Fetterman spent five seasons (2005-10) coaching at the high school level with Coatesville and Downingtown. He served as the defensive coordinator and strength and conditioning coach at both programs, helping lead his teams to four District 1 playoff appearances in five seasons.

From 1997-2000, Fetterman coached at Jacksonville University, where he served as the defensive coordinator, recruiting coordinator, and strength and conditioning coach. He was also part of the staff that helped establish the university's football program.

Fetterman began his coaching career at Ursinus College, serving as an assistant football and strength and conditioning coach from 1995-97. During his tenure, he was part of one of the most successful periods in program history, including an NCAA playoff appearance in 1996.

Fetterman is a graduate of West Chester University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in sports administration.
