Nik Kelly will begin his first season on the Albright coaching staff in 2019. Kelly will serve as the cornerbacks coach.
Kelly comes to Albright after graduating from Southwestern University (Texas) in May 2018 with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology.
Kelly was a four-year member on the Southwestern football team where he started in all 38 games he played in during his career. He earned D3football.com All-American honorable mention during his senior season of 2017 in addition to garnering D3football.com Second Team All-Region honors in the same season. Kelly earned All-SCAC first team honors for three seasons before earning first team All-ASC honors in 2017 after the SCAC dropped football from sponsorship. He was also named SCAC Special Teams Player of the Year in the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
After graduation, Kelly spent four months overseas in Germany and coached the 15U and 19U Albershausen youth teams. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in education at Midwestern State University with a projected graduation date of May 2020.
