Pernell Ingram begins his first season as the linebackers coach for Albright in 2017.
Ingram spent the 2016 season as a volunteer assistant coach at his alma mater, North Carolina Wesleyan College, where he assisted the defensive coordinator with coaching the linebackers. In addition, he assisted the strength and conditioning coach in overseeing team workouts. Ingram also worked as an admissions counselor for the college for two years.
Prior to coaching, Ingram played three seasons at North Carolina Wesleyan from 2004-2006. He began his career as a safety and later switched to be an outside linebacker. Ingram began his collegiate playing career at Catawba where he walked-on as a safety for the 2003 season.
In addition to his collegiate football experience, Ingram served in the police department for the city of Rocky Mount, NC from 2008 to 2015. He spent time as an officer, corporal, and sergeant for the department.Â
