Randy Yerger is entering his eleventh season as an assistant in 2019, and his seventh as a coordinator. He was elevated to the Defensive Coordinator position during the 2015 offseason after serving as the Special Teams Coordinator for the previous four years, and was recently promoted to associate head coach in December 2018.

In 2018, Yerger helped coach defensive lineman David Sanchez to All-MAC honors again, this time a first-team selection.

Yerger maintained the Lions defense as one of the best in the MAC during the 2017 season as they finished second in total interceptions, and third in total sacks. Albright finished the season with an 8-3 overall record and earned a second straight berth to the MAC-Centennial Bowl Series. He coached five players - Isaiah Baylor, Alex Isaac, Grant Boehler, David Sanchez, and Kali Boyce- to All-MAC selections with three of them earning First Team honors. In 11609addition, Baylor erned D3football.com All-East Region honors after leading all of Division III in forced fumbles. 

Albright’s defense was explosive on the field ranking second in the Middle Atlantic Conference in Scoring Defense as the Lions finished the season with an 8-3 overall record and as MAC-Centennial Bowl Champions. His defensive unit also ranked third in the conference in Sacks By and Interceptions. Yerger coached eight players—Kevin Goetz, Rich Kuhn, Grant Boehler, JaVaughn Patterson, David Sanchez, Nico Williams, Kevin Mason and Donte Thomas—to All-MAC selections including four First Team members.

Yerger helped coach Albright to a Middle Atlantic Conference championship in 2015 as the Lions finished the season with a 10-2 overall record and an 8-1 mark in conference play. Albright advanced to the second round of the NCAA playoffs following a 49-0 victory over Norwich in the opening round. Daniel Sobolewski earned All-America honors as a kicker following the season and he was named all-conference as both a kicker and a punter in 2015.11607

 In 2013, the Lions' special teams took yet another step as sophomore kicker Daniel Sobolewski was named a third team D3football.com and honorable mention BSN All-American, while punter TJ Luddy was named first team All-MAC and second team All-ECAC.

 Albright continued its strong special teams play in 2012, with two ECAC Special Teams Player of the Week nods and kicker Sobolewski earning ncaa.com National Player of the Week honors early in the season.

Albright went 8-3 with ECAC bowl championships in both 2012 and 2013.

Yerger was previously the first-ever head coach of the Oley Colts high school team (2008-09), and coached at The Hill School (1999-2000).

Yerger played two years at Lehigh and two at Wilkes, graduating from the latter in 1998 with a degree in Business Administration. He also played baseball at both institutions.

Yerger has owned his own construction company since he was 19 years old. He is married to wife Kristin; they have a daughter, Brooke, and a son, Wyatt.Randy YergerRandy Yerger
