Ryan Kuntz will enter his second season on the Albright football coaching staff in 2018. He will continue to serve as a defensive line coach and as the video coordinator for the Lions.
Kuntz was part of a Lions coaching staff that helped lead the team to an 8-3 record in 2017 which garnered them a second straight berth in the MAC-Centennial Bowl Series. A pair of Lion defensive lineman earned All-MAC honors as well with Isaiah Baylor registering first team honors, and David Sanchez tallying second team honors.
Kuntz comes to Albright after spending the last two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Kutztown. In two years with the Bears, Kuntz worked as an assistant defensive line coach and as a video coordinator. Kutztown went 14-8 in those two seasons, and the Bears finished with a perfect 7-0 conference record in 2016 to earn a spot in the PSAC Championship Game.
He played at Lehigh and was part of back-to-back Patriot League championship teams in 2010 and 2011. Kuntz earned a spot on the Patriot League All-Academic Team as a senior in 2013.
