Former St. Mary's (Md.) assistant Hillen Grason joined the Albright College men's basketball staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2013-14 season.
Albright went 13-13 in 2013-14, reaching a third straight Commonwealth Conference playoffs. The Lions had two All-Commonwealth selections, and freshman Sameen Swint was named the league's Rookie of the Year.
Grason helped the Seahawks to a 27-4 record in 2012-13, as St. Mary's won the Capital Athletic Conference and advanced to the NCAA Elite 8. He was involved in opponent scouting, film exchange, strength and conditioning planning and social media.
A 2010 graduate of Penn State University, Grason was an assistant coach at Hammond High School in Columbia, Md. for two seasons, and also coached in the 2012 Howard County All-Star Game.
He has extensive camp experience, including this spring at John Lucas Basketball Resources, where he assisted in NBA pre-draft workouts. Grason has also worked at Hoop Group and Coach Wootten Basketball Camps.
In the summer of 2010 Grason served as a community relations intern with the Washington Mystics, a WNBA franchise.
