Matthew Trapani

Matthew Trapani enters his third season as an assistant coach with the Albright men’s lacrosse program in 2019.

Trapani helped coach three players to earn All-MAC Commonwealth Honors. JJ Boliaux earned first team honors, while James Gorman tallied second team honors, and Ryan Aler earned honorable mention. In addition, Boliaux earned ECAC and IMLCA All-Region honors as well.

In 2017, Trapani helped the Lions to the MAC Commonwealth Tournament championship game. Albright's six wins in conference play tied the school record. Senior Cam Cetrone was named the MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Year, and he was one of five Albright players to be named All-MAC Commonwealth. Andrew Potter joined Cetrone on the First Team.

Trapani graduated from Kean University in 2012, where he played collegiately for four-years as a member of the Cougars program. He also worked in the university’s Intramural and Recreation Department while attending college.

Prior to joining Albright’s staff, Trapani has served previous coaching stints at Union County College, Cranford High School, and Trilogy Lacrosse Company.

A native of Cranford, N.J., Trapani also spent time as Cranford Youth Lacrosse Boy’s Coaching Director and Cranford Recreation Department Summer Lacrosse Camp Director.

He also previously worked at Union County College Fitness Center.
