Robert Day is entering his second season as the assistant men’s lacrosse coach.

Day is the Lions defensive coordinator and director of recruiting, as well as the team’s strength and conditioning coach.

Day graduated from Lynchburg College in January of 2013 with a degree in exercise physiology.  He was a four-year member of the Lynchburg College men’s lacrosse team which was perennially ranked in the Top-20 nationally.  In his senior season, he helped the Hornets to a season-best 17-2 record and a berth in the NCAA Tournament where they faced Denison.  Day was part of a Lynchburg team that competed for an ODAC Championship in three consecutive seasons and won the title in 2012.

Day comes to Albright from Rosemont College where he was an assistant men’s lacrosse for the 2013-2014 season.  While at Rosemont, Day helped elevate the Ravens program to a school record for victories in a season.  Day was primarily responsible for coaching the team’s defense and helped produce the program’s first defenseman to make the All-CSAC team.

Day also has been coaching with LB3/Phillie Elite LLC since 2009 and is currently the co-head coach of the 2017 Phillie Elite team.

Day also has previous experience in strength and conditioning.  While at Rosemont, Day was the strength and conditioning coach and was responsible for programming and implementing strength and conditioning programs for 13 Division III varsity teams.  Most recently, he spent the 2014 summer as strength and conditioning coach with the Villanova football program.

Prior to Rosemont, Day worked at Summit Sports Training Center, a private sports performance center.  He programmed and implemented strength and conditioning programs for individual athlete’s of all sports, ranging from youth athletes to professional athletes.

Day is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA, and is currently studying, and eligible, to sit for the SCCC (strength and conditioning coach certified) through the CSCCa.

Day is a native of Doylestown, Pa., and attended Lansdale Catholic High School.  He currently resides in Lancaster, Pa.
