Sam Denlinger, a former Division I player, enters her first season as an assistant coach on the Albright staff.

Denlinger was a four-year letterwinner at Division I Coppin State in Baltimore. She helped lead the Eagles to four consecutive Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament berths and was named to the MEAC Academic Softball Team and also was named to the MEAC Commissioner's All-Academic Team.

She was selected as Coppin State's Female Scholar Athlete of the Year during her junior season and was named the Unsung Hero of the softball team on two occasions.

Denlinger earned her degree from Coppin State in biology with a minor in chemistry.

She attended Governor Mifflin High School where she earned four letters in softball. She was a two-time All-Berks County selection and was chosen for the Carpenter Cup four times.

She helped lead the Mustangs to four division championships, a district title and a county championship.

Denlinger works at Eurofins Microbiology Labratories.
