Rachel Weidensaul enters her fifth season as assistant coach on the women’s basketball team.
Weidensaul served as acting head coach for four games during the 2010-11 season, while head coach Janice Luck was on maternity leave.
A multi-sport scholarship athlete at Kutztown University, Weidensaul graduated in May of 2008 with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing. She then completed her Master's Degree in Business from Kutztown.
While at Kutztown, Weidensaul served on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), where she was responsible for recommending potential NCAA legislation and promoted positive images of her fellow athletes both at the University and throughout the nation.
In her final season as a member of the women’s basketball program, Weidensaul finished atop her team in scoring, averaging 9.9 points per game, and was a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Second Team All-Conference selection.
Throughout her career, Weidensaul has coached at a variety of camps and clinics, and has also worked with the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania. In the summer of 2006, she served as Concessions Manager for the Reading Phillies.
