Kelsey Beegle (Thoensen)

Kelsey is a 2020 graduate from Slippery Rock University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health while minoring in Health Care Administration Management and Gerontology. She was a three-year standout for The Rock women’s lacrosse team.

A defensive midfielder, she helped the Rock lacrosse team make history and see their first PSAC playoff appearance in 2017. Kelsey was a three-time PSAC Scholar Athlete and an IWCLA Academic Honor Roll selection. She also served as a representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for the Women’s Lacrosse team during her time at The Rock.  

Kelsey currently serves as Head Coach at NXT Lacrosse Club. Former coaching experience includes serving as the Assistant Women’s Lacrosse coach at Delaware Valley University for the 2021 season. She was formally the Head Coach of Garden Spot Youth/Middle School lacrosse program from 2020-2021 where she took a winless program and led them to a (.500) record. Additionally, she has coached recruiting clinics for University of Pittsburgh’s inaugural team in 2019 and has coached private lessons from 2016-current.  

Coach Beegle is a local native from Lancaster, PA where she attended Garden Spot High School. She lettered 3 years in lacrosse and cross country and one year in track. She earned offensive MVP and LL League All-star selection. She was also a recipient of the Spartacus Award, Rock Award, and Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award winner. A US Lacrosse Academic All American selection.
