The Albright women’s basketball program has announced the hiring of De’jah Williams as the team’s newest assistant coach. Williams will join head coach Alyssa Parsons and assistant coach Shawn Barczynski on the sidelines during the 2025-26 women’s basketball season.
Coach Williams joins the Lions ahead of the 2025-26 season after serving in various roles as a coach and in player development.
Most recently, Williams served as an assistant coach for the Philadelphia section of Nike’s Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL). While at EYBL Williams assisted in developing game strategies, practice plans and created player development programs for elite-level high school players.
During the 2024-25 season, Williams was a volunteer coach at Lincoln University. During coaches’ tenure Williams assisted with player development, practice plans, managing equipment and demonstrating techniques during training sessions.
Williams has also spent time with the KLOW Elite AAU program as an assistant coach. With the AAU program Williams specialized in position specific techniques and improved players’ basketball IQ among many other various coaching roles.
Over Williams’ collegiate playing career, the forward appeared in 84 career games with the University of Albany, Iona College and California State Northridge University. Williams is a graduate of Iona College earning a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and sociology.
