Joseph Detorie IV

Detorie IV enters his first season on the sidelines for the Albright football program. Detorie IV will coach the offensive line for the Lions. 

Detorie IV comes to Albright after a four-year playing career at FCS Stony Brook University and a three-year coaching stint at American International College.

From 2021-2023 Detorie IV served on the coaching staff at American International College at the division II level. In 2021, Detorie IV began on the staff as a graduate assistant and the assistant offensive line coach. Two years later in 2023, Detorie IV was promoted to offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator. During his time coaching at AIC, Detorie IV led AIC offensive lineman David Brown to All NE-10 selection in 2021.

After graduating from Fallston high school in Maryland, Detorie IV earned a full football scholarship to Stony Brook University. At Stony Brook, Detorie IV appeared in 34 games starting 24 of them on the offensive line. Of the 24 starts, three of them came in FCS National Playoff games. Of the field, Detorie IV was named the Chapter President of “Uplifting Athletes” for all of Stony Brook Athletics.

In highschool, Detorie IV was a standout player being named to 2A/1A first team All-Maryland and the Baltimore Sun All-Metro second-team offense. Additionally, Detorie IV was invited to the Big 33 (Pennsylvania vs Maryland) football classic as well as the Maryland Crab Bowl All-Star Game.

Detorie IV graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Stony Brook and would go on to earn his master’s degree from AIC in Business Administration.
