Box Score
The Albright Field Hockey (5-9/1-3 CC) team headed into Saturday's afternoon contest against Widener (7-3/1-1 CC) looking to even up their conference record, and take another step toward achieving a post season berth. The Pride had different ideas, however, scoring early in the contest, and adding two more late goals to shutout the red and white 3-0.
Colleen Cormier netted her fourth goal of the season just over three minutes into the contest off a pass by Jessica Gonzalez. Neither team would make much offensive noise for the rest of the first half, leaving the score at 1-0 going into the break.
Kate Fetterman was able to find the back of the cage for her first goal of the season off an assist from Natalie Gifford and Jackie Elliott scored her third goal on the year with less than 5 minutes to play to seal the victory for Widener.
