Gia Boscola#'s two goals the Lady Lions (3-4) picked up a huge 3-2 victory over Cabrini College (1-6) Thursday afternoon at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
Boscola who continues to lead the red and white's offense this season, scored the game winning goal with 56 seconds left in Thursday's non-conference game. Feldman assisted all three Albright scores two of which belonged to Boscola. The first Albright goal went to #
Rose Casesi#, which was also her first score of the season.
On the season, Boscola has a career best six goals to her name and two assists giving her 14 points. Feldman's three assists was a career first for her as well, and made her the fifth player in program history to record three assists in a single game.
For the host Cavaliers their goals were scored by Desiree Umosella and Lauren Alessi. Umosella initially broke the scoreless draw in the 22nd minute but was quickly matched by Casesi's goal. The score remained tied at 1-1 going into the halftime break. Through the first 35 minutes of play, Albright's offense tallied six shots, while Cabrini managed only four.
Moving into the second half, Cabrini retook the lead just four minutes in. However, the Cavalier's lead was short lived as Boscola evened the score at 2-2 just four minutes later
Deadlocked at two goals each, it appeared as if the Lions were headed for their third overtime game of the season. With just seconds remaining in regulation, Feldman got control of the ball and brought it up the sideline. She then crossed it into the middle of the field where it was redirected by Boscola giving the red and white the last second victory.
In the cage, sophomore #
Kaitlyn Johnstone# made two saves, while Cabrini goalie Vicky King totaled seven stops. Albright closed out the second with eight shots, giving them a game total of 14.
