SCRANTON, Pa. - In a game that could have easily been 4-0, sophomore goalie #
Kaitlyn Johnstone# played exceptional in the cage for the Lady Lions (1-1) as the University of Scranton (1-1) managed to sneak by with only a 1-0 victory Thursday evening at Fitzpatrick Field.
On the day the Christiana, Pa. native compiled 12 saves throughout the contest. Along with her defense, the red and white frustrated the Royals offense numerous times. However Albright's offense was also frustrated as they were limited to just seven shots on the night. Producing the only two shots on goal for the red and white was junior #

Scranton's offense proved to be the more dominant however recording 23 shots overall, 13 of which were on target. Their lone goal came in the 28th minute when Elizabeth Carugan redirected a pass from Gretchen Kempf.
The Royals also led the contest in penalty corners with 14, while Albright managed to produce nine of their own. Scranton goalie Deirdre Rocklein managed two saves to pick up her first win of the season.
Field Hockey returns to action on Saturday when they host Immaculata University in a non-conference game scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
