READING, Pa. – In their final conference match of the season, Albright field hockey (8-9/1-6 CC) dropped a 2-1 overtime decision to local rival Alvernia University (10-8/4-3 CC) Tuesday afternoon. The Crusaders scored the game-winner less than three minutes into the overtime period to clinch the final spot in the 2010 Commonwealth Conference tournament.
Netting the game-winner was Miranda Peto, her fourth of the year, off of a Brittany Barcus pass in from the corner. It was Albright who initially broke the scoreless draw right before the end of the first half. Freshman #Ashleigh Bradley# connected with #
Caitlin Feldman# to give the red and white a 1-0 lead.
Bradley's goal was fifth of the year, while Feldman's assist marked her eighth. Tying the score at 1-1 was Tonya Rutt in the 66th minute off of a Lauren Guido corner.

Briana Taylor# earning a defensive stop. Crusaders Abby Eby posted five saves to earn the conference win.
As a team Albright recorded seven shots as compared to Alvernia's 38. The Crusaders ended the match with 18 penalty corners, while Albright recorded seven of their own.
Field Hockey returns to action tomorrow when they travel to Cedar Crest College for a 4 p.m. non-conference match.
